Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) is a crucial security measure for protecting your Milways.Finance account. With 2FA enabled, you’ll need to enter a dynamic verification code from an authenticator app (like Google Authenticator) in addition to your password to log in or perform sensitive operations, significantly enhancing your account security. We strongly recommend all users enable 2FA.
Setting Up 2FA 1
  1. 🔧 Open the Milways.Finance app and tap the settings icon at the top right.
  2. 🔒 Navigate to the settings page and select the “Reset 2FA” option.
Setting Up 2FA 2
  1. 📋 On the QR code page, tap “Copy 2FA” to copy the verification key.
EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Make sure to backup this key in a secure location!
  • This key is your only way to recover 2FA access if you lose or replace your phone.
  • Write down the key by hand and store it in a safe place, or save it in a secure password manager.
  • Do NOT store the key as a screenshot or plain text file on any connected device.
  • Without a backup key, you might permanently lose access to your Milways.Finance account if you can’t access your authenticator app!
Setting Up 2FA 3
  1. 📱 Open Google Authenticator or any authentication app, and tap “Add a code”.
  2. 📝 Enter Account Name (e.g., Milways.Finance).
  3. 📝 Paste the copied key into the “Your key” field.
Setting Up 2FA 4
  1. 🔢 Generate Verification Code: Google Authenticator will generate a 6-digit verification code (e.g., 100 075).
Setting Up 2FA 5
  1. 📝 Return to the Milways.Finance app and use “Paste” to enter the 6-digit code.
Setting Up 2FA 6
  1. 🟢 Enable 2FA: Tap the “Activate 2FA” button. A green “2FA set successfully” indicator will appear at the bottom of the interface.
  2. 📧 Confirmation Email: You will receive a confirmation email from Milways.Finance confirming that 2FA has been successfully enabled on your account.
Congratulations! You have successfully added an extra layer of security to your Milways.Finance account. Remember to keep your backup key safe.
